Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Manager

The Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Manager successful candidate will leverage their knowledge in the field of SEO to identify improvements and opportunities, make recommendations, and strategically plan and activate client initiatives aligned with client goals. The SEO Manager will collaborate and work closely with the Practice Area leader to achieve lift in all facets of the SERP. The ideal candidate is in tune with the changing search algorithms, understands on-page, technical and off-site facets of SEO, and how to adjust priority and tactics to achieve client goals.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with professional services team leaders to determine how SEO contributes to driving campaigns and performance goals across multiple brands
  • Ongoing understanding and adherence to search engine algorithms, shifts, requirements, and SEO best practices
  • Collaborates with Practice Area Leader to lead key aspects in the ideation and creation of client SEO strategy and planning deliverables; a crucial driver in SEO success for clients
  • Identify improvements and opportunities and make recommendations for any existing SEO engagement briefs and action plans, providing context about our SEO engagements, both internally and with clients at times
  • Activation of SEO program deliverables outlined in brief, strategy, or action plan documents
  • Support content writers by completing keyword research and keyword prioritization for content creation and/or content modification of existing web pages
  • Perform technical SEO audits with platforms such as Screaming Frog and Search Console, compile results, and prioritize technical issues to resolve; may also include: navigation, structure, meta, keyword integration/utilization, title and headline tags, etc
  • Compile data to provide performance reporting for key performance indicators, and metrics for client evaluation; making recommendations and formulating strategic action plans to achieve client’s goals

Your Required Education and Professional Experience

  • A creative thinker and technical tactician who rolls up their sleeves to get things done, with at least 3+ years of experience within an agency setting or in-house B2B brands
  • A confident communicator who can engage and deliver in a myriad of settings
  • A subject matter expert in aspects of digital marketing with a focus on SEO
  • Experience achieving measurable business objectives
  • Direct or indirect B2B manufacturing experience a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Public Relations or related marketing communications field
