We’re looking for someone with excellent creative writing and listening skills to join our creative team as a Senior Copywriter. As a member of the creative team, the Senior Copywriter will concept, write and edit content for various projects such as digital, print, video and social. Our writer will work closely with strategy, the Creative Director and the creative team to create, troubleshoot and articulate messaging to bring our clients’ brands to life in an impactful way.
We highly value collaboration as a multi-disciplinary organization and we are currently hybrid. For Crafted, hybrid is three days a week in-office.
Responsibilities
- Interpret creative strategy statements to collaborate on and develop ideas, messaging and strategy support that creates impact and drives engagement
- Continually raise the bar for writing original copy that connects with target audiences and drives action
- Be adept at adjusting the voice, style and other messaging characteristics based on the company and target audience
- Perform the thorough research and discovery required in the B2B manufacturing industry in order to distinguish and market client products in detail
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of communications and client-related industry trends
- Stay current on the brand voice guidelines for consistent messaging
- Research and understand client needs and target audiences through online searches, review of existing research, interviews with subject matter experts and in-person meetings
- Support the team by presenting concepts internally and to customers
- Troubleshoot and revise copy based on internal and client feedback
Your Required Education and Professional Experience
- 5+ years of professional copywriting experience
- An online portfolio of impressive creative writing samples
- A clear and articulate communicator with client-facing experience
- Background in B2B, manufacturing experience a plus
- Exceptional writing and research skills
- Ability to work independently or with a team to meet deadlines
- Excellent organizational skills and multitasking ability
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in journalism, English, communications or related discipline
- Proofreading experience and familiarity with standard style guides
- Experience with content management systems a plus
- Keen eye for detail and appreciation of great design
- Must be Charlotte, NC-based or willing to relocate
- Be onsite Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays
