The Brand Strategist role on our professional services team plays an essential part in leading our client engagements to position and capitalize on brand and Customer Experience (CX) integrated with maximizing demand generation.
The Brand Strategist role leads the brand strategy that informs creative and content while helping to integrate and align demand generation marketing initiatives for our B2B manufacturing customers. This role requires a breadth of strategic thinking and brand experience with creative strategy, planning, customer experience, and multichannel digital programs. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader capable of interfacing with key stakeholders (both internal and external), uniquely positioning brands, and working on many different customers/projects simultaneously.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop brand positioning, multi-channel programs, and campaign strategies for our mid-market and enterprise clients in collaboration with our multi-discipline practice area leaders.
- Facilitate discovery sessions with executive-level stakeholders to uncover unique differentiators and develop a strategic approach that leads to program results.
- Develop and enhance brand positioning, narratives, messaging hierarchy, and creative campaigns to improve cohesion of the brand story across every element of the customer journey.
- Author insight and data-driven project briefs, lead the creative development of brand marketing initiatives, and support campaign rollout, with emphasis on achieving goals.
- Strategic planning to achieve marketing and sales business objectives across digital and offline channels.
- Collaborate with professional services practice area leaders to successfully lead and enhance brands along with demand generation programs and campaigns.
- In collaboration with demand generation strategists, develop budgets and financial modeling, including planning, budget forecasting, KPI measurements, ROI, and customer acquisition costs.
- Stay ahead of industry advancements by identifying, testing, and assessing new technologies, platforms, and methodologies relevant to digital marketing, brand strategy, and demand generation.
- Conduct competitive positioning analyses to identify differentiation opportunities and inform category narrative shifts.
- Develop strategies that convert campaign engagement into owned audience assets (CRM records, email subscribers, portal users) to strengthen first-party data and long-term customer relationships.
Your Required Education and Professional Experience
- Agency experience required (minimum 2 years). Proven success operating in a fast-paced agency environment leading multiple client engagements simultaneously.
- Experience engaging with executive stakeholders, balancing competing priorities, and delivering strategic work on time and on budget is essential.
- 3+ years developing brand strategies and demand generation programs within closed-loop marketing ecosystems, ideally for B2B or manufacturing clients.
- Demonstrated ability to lead strategic discovery, synthesize research and insights, and translate findings into differentiated positioning, messaging architecture, and campaign strategy.
- Experience partnering with performance marketing teams to align brand strategy with measurable KPIs, pipeline contribution, ROI, and customer acquisition cost modeling.
- Proficiency leveraging enterprise research tools, analytics platforms, and AI-enabled technologies to inform strategic recommendations.
- Strong project ownership and organizational discipline, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent engagements without sacrificing quality.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools (e.g., generative AI, predictive analytics, automation platforms) to accelerate research, messaging development, campaign planning, and performance optimization.
