Demand Generation Director | Marketing Agency | Hybrid in Charlotte, NC

This is a hybrid role based in Charlotte, NC. Candidates must be local to the Charlotte area and available to work in office Tuesday through Thursday at our Charlotte office. Monday and Friday are optional work-from-home days.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with major preferably in Economics, Marketing, Finance, Analytics, or a related field
  • 5–8 years of experience in demand generation, digital marketing, revenue marketing, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience leading teams as a Director or Manager with direct reports
  • Passion and enthusiasm for digital marketing, demand generation, and emerging technologies

The Opportunity

The Demand Generation Director plays an integral role in leading Crafted’s demand generation practice by setting strategic direction and ensuring that strategy is translated into activation that achieves client goals and objectives.

This role is accountable for developing and implementing integrated marketing strategies that achieve client marketing objectives while advancing the capabilities of our Paid Media, Analytics, Content, SEO, Strategy, and AI Transformation teams.

The Demand Generation Director will succeed by accelerating demand from digital channels, providing data-driven insights, planning and coordinating marketing campaigns with sales teams, prioritizing marketing initiatives, guiding AI adoption across client engagements and internal operations, and communicating strategy and performance to executive stakeholders.

Proven Success In

  • Developing marketing programs for B2B manufacturers optimized to revenue and MROI
  • Developing, leading, and coaching a professional services team of at least three people
  • Developing effective marketing plans grounded in insight and analysis
  • Planning and implementing simultaneous marketing campaigns
  • Developing and managing digital assets and campaigns including inbound marketing, content marketing, paid media, and social media
  • Agency experience managing or working within demand generation and brand marketing environments
  • Managing projects and executive stakeholders
  • Developing and managing budgets and financial modeling, including planning, forecasting, expense tracking, ROI measurement, and customer acquisition cost analysis
  • Leveraging web, CRM, and marketing automation platforms
  • Leading or partnering with web technical resources to support demand generation strategy, website optimization, analytics and tagging, CRM and marketing automation integrations, and technical QA
  • Utilizing advanced research, analytics, attribution, and call analytics platforms
  • Leading AI transformation initiatives, including evaluating tools, developing adoption roadmaps, coaching team members, and applying AI to improve demand generation strategy, execution, measurement, and client outcomes

What You’ll Do

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop demand generation and brand strategies grounded in fact-based insight and analysis
  • Develop and oversee strategy, planning, and activation of programs and projects for clients and Crafted
  • Communicate strategy, plans, insights, and performance results to executive stakeholders
  • Enhance brand awareness, positioning, and brand health through integrated marketing programs

Demand Generation & Revenue Growth

  • Plan and achieve marketing and sales lead generation objectives across digital and offline channels
  • Develop and manage demand generation programs and campaigns
  • Leverage web, CRM, and marketing automation platforms to plan and implement integrated marketing and sales campaigns
  • Develop proven marketing programs optimized for revenue growth, MROI, and customer acquisition efficiency

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing professional services team across Paid Media, Analytics, Content, SEO, and Strategy
  • Prioritize and direct team resources to successfully implement marketing plans and achieve client performance metrics
  • Foster collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement across the practice

AI & Digital Transformation

  • Lead AI transformation initiatives within the Demand Generation practice
  • Identify AI-enabled opportunities to improve campaign performance, efficiency, measurement, and client outcomes
  • Guide adoption of AI tools and workflows across strategy, content, analytics, automation, and campaign activation
  • Coach team members on practical AI applications and best practices
  • Analytics & Operations
  • Lead and manage web technical resources supporting demand generation initiatives
  • Oversee website performance, technical SEO, analytics and tagging, CRM and marketing automation integrations, technical QA, and conversion optimization
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, financial models, and performance reporting
  • Measure and optimize KPIs, ROI, customer acquisition costs, and marketing effectiveness
